1. If you are here for the Scrap365 blog hop, then hop on down to the post below. If you are here for the "Five on a Friday", apologies for the delay due to the exciting news about the new UK scrapbooking magazine. I am thrilled to involved creating layouts and writing for this inspirational new mag.
2. I have had the flu. I have now reached the miserable post-flu phase where you wake up feeling like someone has snuck into your room while you slept, sucked out all your energy then kicked you in the head as they left. And I have five men on the roof banging and swearing and hammering as they replace the iron. Not a great combo by any means.
3. I am still scrapping my way through Daughter-One's baby photos:
4. Daughter-Two had a playdate last week. It's so hard to bake for her now with all her dietary restrictions so I was very proud to manage to make some gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free, nut-free etc etc gingerbread men. I gave them two each and lots of icing to decorate them, and they had a great time doing that. And when they finished, the friend said she wasn't sure she liked gingerbread and Daughter-Two said hers now looked so realistically human she didn't feel right eating them.
Fortunately she changed her mind and ate one after dinner, pronounced it delicious and planned to take the other one to school the next day to show her friends and eat for lunch.
Unforunately The Husband couldn't resist and we got up the next morning to find that the gingerbread man had lost his arms and his legs and was now a gingerbread torso.
Daughter-two looked at it sadly then said "oh well, at least it won't be able to run away like the gingerbread man in the story".
"Nope", I said, "It won't even be able to drag itself along the road on it's arms".
5. And a sneak peek of what's coming to the store at Designer Digitals this weekend:
LOL! at the poor maimed gingerbread man... I just love your sense of humor Lynn!
