1. Ten days and counting, and I am still sick. Totally bored with it now. And more than a little crusty.
2. I've only left the house once (apart from school runs). I went to the supermarket to get cold remedies and vegetables and was standing in the checkout swaying slightly when a couple of a certain (fairly advanced) age joined the queue. She was a not too remarkable bleached blond in tiger print and high heels but her consort (and that's the only word for him) was spendid in a pin-striped suit, trilby hat, earring, orange shirt and matching flower in his buttonhole, pointed two-tone shoes and a silver topped cane. I applaud the concept (living life in character?) if not the end result.
The elderly woman in front of me accidentally backed into him and turned around to apologise, then literally jumped in surprise and nearly fell over. Which brightened my day.
