A slice of winter

It's hard to believe it is nearly two years since Daughter-Two looked out of the kitchen window during breakfast and spotted this deer in the backyard in Sweden.

A very exciting sight given we rarely even see snow here in New Zealand.

It's Mixed Media Monthly time!

Hello ...

I just nipped out for a quick walk and it feels like Spring for certain out there.

It's been a long, wet, wild, grey winter here in New Zealand but finally it's starting to feel like things are on the turn.

2020 is nearly over ...

Let's think of it as being on the home stretch! ;-)

December is just around the corner, and you may be thinking about ditching the idea of "Document your December" this year. But recording a December that is like no other is something that will probably be more interesting to look back on and for family to look at in the future.

Reality Bites

Reality has really bitten this year, hasn't it? Though, if you are like me, you probably found yourself saying repeatedly over the past few years, "Is this reality?"

Sometimes it is tempting to think we've been living in a simulation that has jumped the shark ;-)  but it turns out real life can be surprising and bizarre.

For the love of pockets

A few things I love: travelling with these lovely people (documented above); pockets in dresses; and pockets on photobook templates  :-)

Today one of my "Lots of Pockets" template sets is HALF PRICE, see below ...

Another thing to love: Scrapping and enjoying some creative release instead of watching TV or 'doom scrolling' the internet!

Another thing to note:  This wonderful, creative girl has her last day ever of school today. It's hard to believe that a day I thought about often has actually arrived, and that the shape of our lives is so different than I would have imagined (in a good way, though, apart from the ... well, everything ... gesturing broadly at the world). She has her graduation ceremony tomorrow night and thank goodness Covid is currently squashed here and she gets to walk. And win a prize, we are told (though not sure what!)
